To have the factory barrel threaded for a can, which barrel length is recommended? My local shop has the 4" bull barrel model, and 5.5" Target Model. I thought 4.5" was the max length you want to go to keep standard and high velocity ammo subsonic. Ruger does makes a 22/45 with a 4.5" barrel but it is slabsided. Could the slabsided barrel be threaded as well or do most people go with a 4" bull barrel? I haven't seen any of the slabsided 4.5" rugers suppressed...

Not interested in an after market barrel.
