I had a Trailside and it was not ammo fussy and pretty accurate. Trigger is not good but you said you did not want a target pistol. A Smith 41 has a better trigger and I think it can be used as a target pistol or a plinker as it is right between the two IMHO. When you say target pistols, I am thinking of these and the like.
