I have owned both. My P95 was the most reliable gun I've ever owned, 2500 rounds of U.S.-spec ammo without a malfunction. My two 24/7 Pros each had a malf every now and then, enough to drop them below the top shelf in terms of reliability.

Ruger service is top-notch, Taurus does not have such a great reputation.

The P95's DA pull was a bit long for me, the gun is a bit fat for my hand, thus I sold it. But not for any other reason.

I think the Taurus DA/SA trigger is very strange, so no advantage to Taurus there.

For long term reliability, go Ruger.

If you really like the Taurus, it's probably OK. Why not both? But if you must choose, my choice would be the Ruger.
