The spring follower in my magazine was too "stiff" or too "long". It would let you snap all 5 cartridges in (.270) and then wouldn't feed the top one, jamming up to where you had to drop them out the bottom and start over again. Had to load four in the magazine and then slightly push down on the fifth while pushing the bolt forward. If you pushed too hard it would snap into the magazine. Maybe I'm used to the controlled feed on my Ruger 77 Mk II but didn't like it.
