I agree strongly with this. I have a 9MM HK P30L and it is a terrifc pistol in 9MM. However for .40 I will also take my SIG P229 ANY day as it is a pleasure to shoot in .40. The P229 is metal frame but aluminum alloy instead of steel unless one has a P229 Stainless model.
