That's my personal carry Glock 19 4th gen.

Its an even spreading rectangle that gets pressure to engage the mag release on the gen 4 then gen 3 is like a button. I'm sure they changed it for a reason.

That said though, honestly. One isn't necessarily better than the other for most people.

But one definitely is not better than the other in terms of being easier to press.

I've maybe done it once on my Glock 21 at 4:00 IWB or with my old Glock 27 that I had.

Never happened to me with the G19
