Doc sez "I am going to mark the location by holding one grip in place and then going through the screw holes in the frame with a scribe or sumpin."
That's the way I would do it, too.
But make sure whatever tool is being used to make the mark is a tight fit in the frame holes, or it will wobble and throw things off.
