I use a small electronic safe that I can program any # combination that I want. It offers quick access and has not failed to open after the last few years of use, and it has been opened many many times on the same battery. Now that I mention it, I should probably go ahead and change the battery soon before it does die on my.

Someone on here suggested once to just change the batteries in your electronic safe every 6 months, the same time that you change your smoke alarm batteries.
