4 in barrel can absolutely be just as accurate as 5-6 at 25 yards. Sure the sight radius is shorter, but it is still plenty long. On top of that you are cutting 2 inches of steel off the end of the barrel, that is weight you don't have to compensate for. Personally I prefer the balance of a 4 inch.
