Hi everyone, trying to install a Burris AR Tripler (similar to Aimpoint 3x Magnifier) on my flat top M&P 15 Rifle.

Forgive the dumb question, but i'm having trouble getting the Larue screws to thread. The mount seems to be slightly open, and the screws are not reaching very well.

The ring and tripler are 30mm, and I have followed Burris's instructions for mounting their tripler in this mount.

Any ideas about this?
