DR200s are parkerized. Some pics would help with your desciption.

It is not uncommon for the ejected brass to bounce off the reciever directly behind the ejection port. The brass marks the rifle, but it can be cleaned off with a stiff nylon brush and some 7.62 solvent or other cleaner.


I see it as a sign of a happy rifle.
