I like the Model 11-87, in fact I own one in their (no longer available) Sporting Clays configuration: 28" light contour, ported, vent-rib barrel threaded for RemChokes; nickel-silver receiver, and upgraded wood fore and aft. Mine has never given me any trouble, points well, and (since 2001) has done everything I ask of it.

As for whether the one you've found is a good deal, consider Remington's MSRPs (courtesy of their Website) for the currently available versions:

11-87™ Premier® 12 $827
11-87™ Premier® Left-Hand 12 $893
11-87™ Premier® Super Magnum 12 $899
11-87™ Premier® Upland Special 12 $827
11-87™ Premier® Fully Rifled Cantilever Deer 12 $908
11-87™ Premier® LT-20 20 $827
11-87™ SPS™ Super Magnum 12 $912
11-87™ SPS™ Super Magnum™ Camo 12 $996
11-87™ SPS™ Waterfowl Camo 12 $960
11-87™ SPS-T™ Super Magnum™ Camo RS/TG (NWTF) 12 $996
11-87™ SPS™ 12 $925
11-87™ SP™ Super Magnum 12 $912
11-87™ Sportsman™ Synthetic RC/VT 12 $625
11-87™ Sportsman™ Synthetic FR/CL 12 $705
11-87™ Sportsman™ Youth Synthetic RC/VT 12 $625

If you are truly considering purchasing this gun, then my best recommendation is to have a competent gunsmith give it a thorough vetting and pattern it to check for barrel problems before you part with your hard-earned brass.

Good luck, and good shooting!
