I'd been an '06 guy for twenty years, but around 1970 I got to looking at the .243 cartridge. Now, that's just a plumb pretty little critter. Well, I found a little Sako Forester carbine and got all married up with it and did DRT kills with it just like with Ol' Pet.

Time kept marching on, as time inevitably does, and I got the itch for a lightweight rifle with a tad more Oomph! than the .243.

Hokay, it's hard to get much lighter than the 700Ti, but what cartridge?

Y'know, I just like the visual proportions of the 7mm08 over a .308. The bullet isn't much thinner, but it just looks better.

I figure that's about as good a reason as any.
