Fine tuning pistol ejection
So over the weekend I shot small test batches, and found what I thought was the perfect combination for light target rounds for my XD40. Last night, as we do every Sunday night, I took the whole family out to do some shooting. I was excited to show them what our home rolled ammo was like. After both my wife and daughter went through a couple of magazines, they said they didn't like it.
Turns out the short case ejection scares them. They are afraid they might get burned. I am currently on a light charge, and was going to try bumping up the charge a little to see if I could get that scary, hot case further away from them.
Is there any another suggestions some of you might have before I drive off to the range with new test batches?
