The gun was not rebored but rather rechambered by someone that did not know what they were doing.
Any competent gunsmith would never do a rechamber on a 22RF(.223 dia) rifle.
As said before the 22RF bore is too small for the 22MAG(.224 dia) bullet and the steel is too soft.
The magnum pressures are high enough to cause the bolt to fail. Not to good walking around with a rifle bolt sticking out of your eye.
