With the H&R clone of a Remington 870, if I correctly recall H&R wants the gun shipped to it to fit a barrel if you want to be able to change barrels. some say that is due to limited barrel supply. I suspect it has something to do with poor quality control. With a Remington or a Mossberg or any other pump I beleive you just buy a barrel.
