The Springfield TRP is a solid choice. S&W are not famous or popular for 1911s, but they are for everything else.

Another option is a Dan Wesson 1911.

I have a Guncrafter, Ed Brown, Wilson, Mars armament Colt, Detonics And a Coonan 1911.
