Suggest you go over to CSP (Culver Shooting Pages,
www.jouster.com and do some research there. The M1A is a very good rifle, may occasionally need a little tweaking like any mechanical object. I have shot ARs, M14s, and M1s and they are each a compromise of sorts and have pros and cons. I have an M1A that I compete with and field shoot with, and I like it. Like anything else worthwhile you have to make the effort to learn it. Make up your own mind.
