The more I use my S&W59 the more I wish it had at least 1 1/2" more barrel.
The 59 is just too short for proper balance.
I'd been planing on ordering an after market barrel threaded for a Muzzle comp, but they sold out before I got my order in. These had been on sale at Numrich some years ago.
I'd much prefer a long slide conversion, but everyone I've mentioned this to says my early model 59 is a collectors item and should not be altered, especially since its in near Cherry condition.
