I don't really see a point to it, but several companies offer a removable bayo lug that kind of clamps around the barrel and is secured by two hex bolts that squeeze the top and bottom halves together around the barrel. I believe Quality Parts Company (Bushmaster) still offers these. Then you can position it where ever you want. Please keep in mind that is would be a violation of federal law to attach this item to a post ban AR, as well as most other mag-fed semi auto's.
