I have to say....

I disagree with that first reply. Often an arrow will pass all the way through the turkey.

The guillitine broadhead is one way to go...aiming for the neck with the 4 inch radius cut blades.

If you are using a regular broadhead, aim for the base of the wing...you will not have a problem with penetration at reasonable distances. The vitals are right through the base of the wing..higher than you might think.

Also, a shot just under the fan (when in strut) is perfect....aim at the base of the fan or the tail hole.

I do not take chest shots because of the breast bone and meat..plus you can cut the beards off.

Do NOT try for just mid-bird...
