The objective media, bought and paid for journalism that goes unreported in the main stream press or even most of the alternative media. Good article that gives a specific example related to gun control advocacy disguised as journalism.

Details about the Joyce Foundation and funding of gun control advocacy groups, research, and Second Amendment "scholarship." Gun control advocacy groups that are described in the media as grassroots, research that is reported as authoritative in the media but is not identified as coming from a bought and paid for gun control advocacy group, and scholarship that is again bought and paid for gun control advocacy.

Mayors Against Illegal guns (MAIG) funded by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the Joyce Foundation. Bloomberg, the tenth richest man in America, who is also funding a lobbying agency in Denver CO to help push through the recent gun control legislation there, who is also funding advertising to defeat a pro-gun democrat in a House of Representatives race in Illinois to replace Jesse Jackson. Who has also given 1 Billion dollars to Johns Hopkins University, his alma mater, and which though the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health many gun control public health papers and research have been released and reported as news in the press. He also funds though Johns Hopkins the John Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research.

Imagine if the Gun Manufacturers through the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) or the NRA were funding journalists to write news stories or academics to produce research, how that would be reported in the press? Would the information be accepted and appear in news reports as authoritative and/or with no reference to the source of the information? Would the overarching funding of gun advocacy in news and research be a story and how would it be reported?
