Right, the brass shells are thinner and need wider wads if you won't use a plastic shotcup. A commercial 3/4" Arch punch should work, but I don't have any brass shells around. That's about .020 wider than standard 12 gauge for plastic hulls.

The Lee slugs are sized to fit inside a shotcup and would just rattle down the bore if shot nekkid. The Lyman Forster type is also undersized and never worked for me until I had driving bands cut in my mould to get it up to bore diameter.

I've shot a lot of RBs and they work very well when fitted to the choke. They don't tumble; they don't deform; and they don't get wads stuck up inside. The only reason for the switch to slugs was the danger of trying to shot a .730 RB through a .690 full choke and the inaccuracy of a .690 RB shot out of a .730 cylinder bore. Since you can measure your choke and order a mould to match, and since your shells are so distinctive that they won't get shot in the wrong gun, you can use the RB.

Check on the CAS boards. Those are the folks with the brass case expertise.
