A perceptive point.
I'll note, however, that much like carrying in Condition 3, I strongly disfavor any method of carry that turns a handgun into a handSgun.
This is part of the reason that in winter months, I keep a J-frame in the outer pocket of my parka: I don't trust myself to be able to acces the 1911 on my belt one-handed under a heavy coat and a fleece pullover.
