It sounds like the LOP (length of pull) is too long. Bring it to a gunsmith, have the stock chopped to your desired length and have a brass or steel butt plate fitted. Really shouldn't cost too much as its a relatively simple procedure. If your handy you could do it yourself. Personally I prefer slightly shorter stocks than most, I find they are much quicker to shoulder and just overall more comfortable. By the way I am only 5'8 so that has something to do with it.
