I agree that the current market would probably put this rifle right at $1k - $1,200. However, while you did not ask, I think that the Colt is highly overrated and you are paying several hundred dollars of that 1K for the Colt name alone.

Here in Georgia I am seeing quality factory built AR15/CAR15 clones starting at about $850. Within the past month I purchased a NIB Bushmaster CAR style AR15 for $850.
