I've enjoyed my SCAR 16 for a couple of years now. Compare to my ARs, the key difference is in the feel of the rifle during fire and ease of target acquisition (not to mention the ultra-simple takedown and maintenance). In my opinion, the very heavy bolt carrier on the SCAR gives the rifle a much more Garand-type recoil. Accuracy is similar between the two, perhaps favoring a heavy-barreled stock AR.
One downside is that the muzzle brake deafens everyone standing behind you at the range. Ergonomics and reliability are what the SCAR is built around. The rifle shoulders well and adapts to different sights slightly better than my ARs. To me, the SCAR is the BMW of semi-auto rifles--an ultimate shooting platform but by no means the only player on the market.
