On my side of the pond it is called the Elite. No personal experience but I asked a similar question, but only got lukewarm feedback from forum members.

Seems affecionados of this rifle, like you and I, are few and far between.

From the videos I have seen, then seem to be accurate and well-made, although in the case of the Scout/Elite the intergral bipod is not supposed to be so robust.

Either way, I think Steyr rifles are quality kit: probably the best I could get locally...

I like it, but if I were to stretch to a high-end Steyr, I'd go for the SSG 69
