To me Glock was the first on the market with the uber reliable poly pistol. Human beings are creatures of habit. Your dad carried Glock as LEO, your first gun was a Glock following dads recommendation, so now you are so familiar with the simplicity if the Glock its like your favorite pair of jeans. It's familiar and just feels right.

Give the M&P some years and I believe it will surpass Glock depending on how the marketing goes. Glock is a marketing power house.
