Reloading is not rocket science, though it does involve smoke and flame and things that go very fast. With care and assiduously following directions it is safe and rewarding beyond the cost savings (which cost savings for 9mm are, unfortunately, not that much).

But it is relaxing and fun.

There is nothing ethically or legally wrong with reloading that I know of.

Using your own loaded ammuntion for self defense is a contentious subject with advocates on both sides of the question. Opinions are sincerely held and adamantly, too. Makes for some long, educational and heated threads. If anyone wants to open the discussion, please start another thread. I will say no more about it in this thread.

If you can change a tire, bake a cake or strip, clean and reassemble your gun yourself, you have the capacity to reload practice ammo. If you want to get fancy, it will involve some study and deep thought, but the basic assembly of safe, reliable ammunition is simple.

I encourage you to consider it. If you don't, years from now, when you do start, you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner.

P.S. This thread is educational
