I've tried it.
Speer says 6.3 grains is max. 5.3 sounds like mousefart in my experience. Best accuracy occurrs near the top end.
Have you tried it that low? Did it lock the slide on the last shot? Did it shoot clean, or did it leave alot of unburned powder and soot? Maybe you you should try some hands-on experience before releasing your theories?
