BGutzman,

Based on my experience, you need either a progressive feed mag, or a Colt Hybrid mag. The best mag I have ever used is a Chip McCormick with a Checkmate follower; all my 1911's make that smooth, fluid, "schaaalk" sound when the slide closes using this particular mag, and feeds anything, so far.
