(Glancing at
www.gunbroker.com)
I'm seeing quite a few .357 Ruger Blackhawk revolvers going for $260 or so used, and several going for as low as $320 new. Bear in mind, those are looking at the "Sold in Last 90 Days" function on the search, but it does seem to be a solid trend overall.
The Ruger Blackhawk will be a very, very solid American-made firearm, and accurate. Maybe a bit heavier than the Uberti, but far sturdier, and higher resale value.
I personally would be happier with the Ruger, at the same price.
If you buy off Gunbroker, figure $20 for shipping and $20 for FFL fee (fee paid to your local dealer to receive the shipment for you, as such a firearm can not be mailed to you personally). But this is partially balanced out by the $25 or so you'll save in sales-tax vs. buying from Bass Pro.
My vote: hang around
www.gunbroker.com or
www.auctionarms.com (or check the classifieds at
www.gunsamerica.com) for a week or so, and odds are you'll find a good Blackhawk for the low $300s (less if used), and come out with a better revo than the Uberti for the same price.
