**(I am not looking to start a debate on .223 vs 5.56!!)**
Recently picked up a Sionics Patrol 1 rifle from my LGS. Until recently I have only fired .223 out of it. I was installing some furniture to the carbine today, and thought I would take a peek at the barrel and see what is stamped on it. To my amazement, there was absolutely no markings on the barrel. I called up the LGS to ask what the actual caliber is, and they said it was 5.56 (woohoo!). I am concerned that the salesman is getting the receiver stamp (says 5.56) mixed up, and was hoping someone else on these forums could verify the caliber. Thanks for your time!
