I can highly recommend STI Spartans. They come in three barrel lengths. They are made by Armscor to STI specs, using a forged slide and STI fire control system. Mine rivals my high end 1911s in accuracy and has been 100% reliable (I only shoot FMJ in mine). Price is about $630 plus shipping and local FFL fee.
