One generally can't lift a 5 gallon bucket of lead.
Beware of obtaining wheel weights that are heavy but are not lead. A good many of them nowadays are a zinc compound.
I have not heard of 'free' lead for many moons. But an independent tire shop will certainly be willing to part with used weights for a fair price.
