You state that you only want this gun for a deffense gun so I'd reccomend the Mossberg Persuader. It holds 8 rounds comes with a pistol grip and heat shield. It should serve your purpose. One thing I'd do if I were you is replace the stock hard pistolgrip with a set of Pachmyers grips. They are soft rubber and don't beat your hand to a pulp and add some measure on control.
