I have one on an 870 and it performs as advertised. It's actually fun to shoot slugs. I think a small woman or a medium sized child could shoot slugs with minimal discomfort. It's a good choice for home defence where you would want to train your wife and child to use a shotgun.
Remington likes the concept so well that they are producing several models with the Knoxx stock.
