I would have agreed with you a few years ago, but since I started using the rubbermaid bags they just seem to work better for me. They have elastic loops for magazines two pockets for pistols and hold 300 rounds of ammo with my staple gun. They also keep me from loading them to the point they are so heavy the shoulder strap connections break. That was the problem I had with the previous range bags I had used. These don't have a shoulder strap and don't need one.
