Hey Scorch, good name, geez, read the whole post, the horns were so short, the bull elk was a LEGAL antlerless elk. No poachers in my group. It wasn't a cow season, per se, it was an 'anterless' season. Idaho has those. Still, you are right in that it was NEARLY, a hell of a mistake.
