I have a Taurus M44SS6. That is the stainless one with the 6.5" factory ported barrel. I happened into a deal on mine and got it for $350 used. It is a 2008 model. It didn't come with anything extra, though.

I carry it loaded with Hunting Shack "Bear Loads" when I am hunting, especially bowhunting in the high country in eastern Idaho by Yellowstone. That is what I bought it for.

I am sure that the usual suspects will be by soon to tell you that Tauruses are not any good. I have had my M44 for a couple of years and put about 800 rounds of various loads through it. Mine is accurate and reliable.
