As a Georgia resident, this article hits close to home for me. We have made some progress on the concealed carry front with the recent passage (2008) of law that lets us carry in restaurants and eateries that serve alcohol, but pull less that 50% gross business from alcohol. Back in '98, we gained the right to carry in our vehicles as we do at home. A steady increase in defense of our rights and we are particularly proud of that.

In the last few years, GACarry.org deserves credit as the premier defender of our existing Second Amendment rights in law.

I came to GA in 1987 and soon learned that although GA code was silent on open carry, and that there was no language that prohibited it, you did not want to get caught by the next deputy that came along and observed it. So this judgment, in particular, is long overdue.

Thank you GACarry.org.
