My early production PX4 in 40 S&W had a terrible trigger sting. Made it very uncomfortable to shoot a 50 round box of ammo It seems the only caliber with this problem in the PX4 line of pistols was the 40 S&W. Don't know why. I sold mine and purchased a used M&P 40 S&W and am glad I did. The M&P is a much more comfy shooting 40. I also own a PX4 in 9 mm and it has no problems and has been trouble free to date.
