The main load I run in my Bolt Action Savage Mod 12 FSSV

Note the charge is a listed MAX LOAD in the Nostler Manual and should be worked up to. There are a couple of other manuals that list for more on the powder charge. I did work up to those, and accuracy declined greatly after .3 grains over the listed Nostler max. Sierra list to 25.5 grains for a Max.


55 grain Hornady V-Max, or Nosler Ballistic Tip for bullet
25.0 grains of Hodgdon H-335 for powder
CCI Small Rifle primer
Brass is mixed head stamp. Most being Lake City, or Federal. Some Hornady. I have seen no visable differance in accuracy in different cases.
COL is 2.260
