Ok, some confusion cropping in here...

It appears the gentleman has a Ted Williams Model 100, which is a rebadged Winchester Model 94 levergun marketed through Sears. His gun chambered in the rimmed .30-30 Winchester, which is right proper for the levergun.

That's opposed to the Winchester Model 100, which was a gas-operated semiauto rifle, chambered for rimless rounds like the .308 Winchester.
