Or is your point if I'm properly aiming the 6 125-grainers out of my Model 686 I shouldn't need more?

Not Kraig but, in my experience the revolver is dead even or even better than most auto's right up until you need to reload it. With proper tactics and a good shooter with a revolver capacity means very little.
That being said I carry a Glock 357 Sig loaded with Underwood 125 GRN GD's @ 1475-1500 fps.
