Didn't know that with regard to the 475/480 BFR. I have the 6.5". It is still a big revolver. I found it slightly used a year or so ago at a gunshop and was compelled to buy it. I wanted to know if the SA design would make it more comfortable to shoot relative to the SRH. It does.

I think a BFR custom in that caliber may well be worth it. They were already nice so the custom shop one should be even nicer.

The Ruger SRH's are reportedly back into production even though I have not seen one. Somehow, I'd still like to get an Alaskan in 480. No use for it.... just want to shoot it and have some fun.
