I replaced a stolen Marlin 39A with a new 39AS. I absolutely HATE the new "rebound hammer". Does anyone know if I can replace the hammer spring assembly with parts for the old 39A, and in effect, convert it to the older model?

I called Marlin, and they said no, but that is exactly what I expected them to say....
