United States v. Miller, 307 U.S. 174 (1939) Gives us All Males capable of acting in concert for the common defense is the militia, and as they are expected to bring their own arms when called, those weapons protected are those in common use at the time.

District of Columbia v. Heller 554 U.S. 570 (2008) Which holds: RKBA is Individual and not Collective- AND - Protects arms in the common use for lawful purposes.

McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 3025 (2010) Incorporates the Second Amendment to the States. The States may not infringe the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
