Maybe Scorch and I are thinking the same thing, but I doubt that your "older" Browning uses a Remmy mod 11 barrel. How "older" is older? I have an A-5 that's 48-yrs-old. I'd always heard that Browning barrels had to be fitted...until somebody who actually knew something sold me a new, Invector barrel for my old Browning. I guess my Invector barrel was made in Japan...haven't even looked to see...but it sure fits my old A-5 just fine, with no fitting. I chose a 22" Invector barrel to replace the 26" skeet-bore barrel that came with the old A-5.
